As Reso’s chosen ecommerce business content partner, we’re excited to share the product photography that fuelled their website rebuild. We chatted to Customer Service Manager at Reso, Andrea Munroe, about the transformation of their digital presence, the importance of content creation, and what’s next for the brand supplying New Zealanders with incredibly delicious ingredients.

Who is Reso?

We bring the finest quality European fine foods and ingredients to New Zealand for chefs to create world class menus. Our range includes Belgian chocolate to French patisserie to Italian bakeware and so many incredibly exciting and delicious things!

What inspired the transformation of your ecommerce business website?

Our previous site was a little dated. Reso wasn’t being represented as we really are, with our latest, exciting, and high-quality range of products. We wanted a website that showed how tempting and delicious our products are, while also reflecting our personality: committed to excellence and in love with quality food, yet totally friendly and approachable.

Why was content creation such an important element of the rebuild?

We knew the product photography needed to be front and centre when it came to appealing to our food loving audience. Our previous photos lacked consistency and weren’t always to a high standard. We wanted our customers to see the photos and almost be able to smell the freshly baked pastries and breads. It was also important to create a consistent look and feel to establish and strengthen the Reso brand, confirming our quality and expertise.

Shooting an entire product range can be a daunting task. What was your experience working with the Asset Factory team and the technology?

Reso has over 400 SKUs, many with multiple photos, with different sizes and shapes, and many needing preparation before photography. We opted for an Asset Factory staff member to assist us with the shoot; although there’s the option to run the machines solo we figured using their expertise would be the best and most efficient way to get the results we wanted. The fact that we completed the shoot in two days was remarkable, and the whole process was so easy. The Asset Factory team is friendly and helpful, and their technology is not only sophisticated in what it can do, it’s also user friendly, fast, and delivers great results.
